This page is about connecting to your suppliers’ APIs. EagleLytics® uses the supplier’s own platform API (Shopify, BigCommerce or WooCommerce) with credentials the supplier gives you. EagleLytics® does not offer a developer API of its own.

If a supplier gives you an Admin API access token for their Shopify store, add them as a Direct API Connection. The full catalog is fetched through the API instead of the public storefront.

With a store hash and an access token from the supplier, EagleLytics® reads the catalog through the BigCommerce API. This turns a scan that could take hours into one that finishes in seconds.

If the supplier issues you WooCommerce REST API keys, add them as a Direct API Connection and the catalog is read through the API.

How to add one
Four steps in the app.
Suppliers → Add Supplier
Open the Suppliers page in the EagleLytics® app and click Add Supplier.
Choose Direct API Connection
Switch the connection type from Website URL to Direct API Connection and pick the supplier’s platform.
Enter the credentials
Paste the store URL and the credentials your supplier issued — token, store hash, or consumer key and secret.
Test Connection
EagleLytics® confirms it can read the catalog before saving. Then run a scan like any other supplier.
Security
Supplier credentials are handled like your own.
API credentials give read access to a supplier’s catalog, so they are treated as secrets from the moment you paste them.
- Encrypted at rest with Fernet before they are stored; decrypted only in memory when a scan runs
- Never displayed again after saving — edit forms show blank fields, and leaving them blank keeps the existing secret
- Never included in API responses, scan reports or exports
- Removed when you delete the supplier
