This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how subscription cancellations, renewals, refunds, and billing corrections are handled for EagleLytics® services. EagleLytics® is a product of LaFountain Design (“EagleLytics®”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This policy should be read together with the EagleLytics® Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and other applicable policies, and forms part of the Terms.
Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise, payments made for EagleLytics® subscriptions are non-refundable. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewal; it does not refund the current term, and your access normally continues through the period you have already paid for.
1. Free Trials
EagleLytics® may provide eligible customers with a free trial before they purchase a paid subscription.
For subscriptions started directly through eaglelytics.com, the standard free trial is currently 14 days. The direct EagleLytics® free trial:
- does not require a credit card;
- does not result in a subscription charge during the trial; and
- does not automatically convert into a paid direct subscription.
A customer must actively select and purchase a paid plan to begin a paid subscription. Because no subscription fee is charged during the direct free trial, there is ordinarily no trial payment to refund.
Trials offered through third-party platforms or application marketplaces may operate differently and may be subject to the billing terms of those platforms (see Section 10).
2. Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly EagleLytics® subscriptions are billed in advance for the applicable monthly billing period.
Once a monthly subscription payment has been processed, that payment is non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where EagleLytics® determines that a billing correction is appropriate. EagleLytics® does not ordinarily provide refunds, credits, or reimbursements for unused portions of a monthly billing period.
Customers may cancel future renewal at any time. Unless otherwise stated during the cancellation process, cancelling a monthly subscription prevents the next renewal charge but does not immediately terminate access. The subscription will normally remain active through the end of the monthly period already paid for.
3. Annual Subscriptions
Annual EagleLytics® subscriptions are billed in advance for a 12-month subscription term.
Annual plans may include discounted pricing equivalent to receiving two months of service at no additional charge compared with purchasing 12 months at the standard monthly rate. This annual discount is provided in exchange for purchasing the full annual subscription term in advance.
Once an annual subscription payment has been processed, the payment is non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where EagleLytics® determines that a billing correction or other exceptional remedy is appropriate.
EagleLytics® does not provide prorated refunds for:
- unused months;
- unused days;
- early cancellation;
- reduced usage;
- unused features; or
- portions of an annual subscription that remain after cancellation.
Promotional months and annual-plan savings have no independent cash value.
4. Cancelling an Annual Subscription
Customers may cancel future renewal of an annual subscription at any time.
Cancelling annual renewal:
- prevents the subscription from automatically renewing at the end of the current term;
- does not normally result in an immediate refund;
- does not create a prorated refund for unused time; and
- normally allows the customer to continue using EagleLytics® through the expiration date of the annual term already paid for.
Customers who do not want their annual subscription to renew should cancel before the applicable renewal date.
5. Annual Renewals
Annual subscriptions may automatically renew where automatic renewal is enabled.
Once an annual renewal payment has been processed, that payment is non-refundable except where:
- applicable law requires otherwise;
- the charge resulted from a confirmed billing error;
- the payment was duplicated;
- the transaction was verified as unauthorized; or
- EagleLytics® approves another exceptional remedy.
No prorated refund is provided for unused portions of a renewed annual term.
6. No Prorated Refunds
EagleLytics® does not ordinarily provide prorated refunds for partially used subscription periods. This includes:
- monthly subscriptions;
- annual subscriptions;
- annual renewals;
- subscription downgrades;
- early cancellation;
- periods in which the customer did not use the service; or
- periods in which the customer used only part of the available functionality.
A customer's decision to stop using EagleLytics® before the end of a paid subscription period does not create a right to reimbursement for the remaining time.
7. Plan Upgrades
If a customer upgrades to a higher-priced subscription, EagleLytics® may charge an additional amount according to the billing rules presented during the upgrade process. The exact amount and timing may depend on:
- the existing subscription;
- the new plan;
- the billing provider; and
- the point in the current billing period at which the upgrade occurs.
Upgrade charges are generally non-refundable once processed, subject to the exceptions described in this policy.
8. Plan Downgrades
A downgrade does not ordinarily produce a refund or cash credit for the difference between plans. Depending on the subscription and billing system, a downgrade may become effective at:
- the next billing period;
- the next annual renewal; or
- another date presented during the downgrade process.
Feature and usage limits may change when the downgrade becomes effective.
9. Discounts, Promotions, and Credits
Promotional pricing, coupons, annual-plan discounts, free months, account credits, and other promotional benefits do not have independent cash value unless explicitly stated otherwise or required by law. Unused promotional value is not refundable. A customer cannot exchange unused promotional months or subscription discounts for cash.
10. Third-Party Marketplace Subscriptions
Some EagleLytics® subscriptions may be purchased or administered through third-party platforms or application marketplaces. This may include platforms such as Shopify or BigCommerce.
Subscriptions purchased through third-party platforms may be subject to that platform's:
- billing rules;
- renewal rules;
- trial rules;
- cancellation procedures;
- refund procedures; and
- payment-processing requirements.
Where EagleLytics® does not directly control the transaction, EagleLytics® may be unable to issue or process a refund directly. The customer may be required to contact or use the billing tools provided by the applicable third-party platform. Where mandatory third-party billing rules apply to a transaction, those rules govern that transaction.
11. Payment Processing
Direct EagleLytics® subscription payments may be processed through third-party payment processors, including Square. EagleLytics® does not control every aspect of third-party payment processing.
Billing corrections or approved refunds, where applicable, will ordinarily be processed through the original payment method or payment channel whenever reasonably possible.
12. Billing Errors
If a customer believes they were charged incorrectly, they should contact EagleLytics® promptly. EagleLytics® may correct confirmed:
- duplicate charges;
- incorrect subscription charges;
- payment-processing errors; or
- other billing mistakes attributable to EagleLytics®.
A billing correction is not the same as a general subscription refund.
Customers should not send:
- passwords;
- full payment-card numbers;
- API credentials;
- store credentials; or
- supplier credentials
when requesting billing assistance.
13. Unauthorized Transactions
Customers should promptly report transactions they believe were unauthorized. EagleLytics® may require reasonable information necessary to:
- verify account ownership;
- identify the transaction; and
- investigate the claim.
Verified unauthorized transactions will be handled according to applicable law, payment-provider requirements, and the circumstances of the transaction.
14. Service Interruptions
Temporary service interruptions do not automatically create a right to a refund. Examples include:
- scheduled maintenance;
- temporary EagleLytics® outages;
- supplier website outages;
- ecommerce platform outages;
- third-party API outages;
- network failures;
- payment-provider outages;
- supplier access restrictions; or
- circumstances outside EagleLytics' reasonable control.
Where EagleLytics® experiences a substantial service failure directly attributable to EagleLytics®, EagleLytics® may, at its discretion where permitted by law, provide a service credit, billing adjustment, refund, or other appropriate remedy. Nothing in this section limits remedies required by applicable law.
15. Supplier and Third-Party Availability
EagleLytics® depends in part on supplier websites, ecommerce platforms, APIs, and other third-party systems that EagleLytics® does not control. A refund is not automatically due because:
- a supplier website changes;
- a supplier becomes unavailable;
- a supplier restricts automated access;
- robots.txt or other access rules prevent monitoring;
- supplier API access changes;
- credentials expire or are revoked;
- an ecommerce platform changes its API;
- a third-party platform imposes rate limits;
- a platform experiences downtime; or
- a supplier or store becomes incompatible with EagleLytics®.
EagleLytics® will make reasonable efforts to identify and communicate compatibility issues where practicable.
16. Account Suspension or Termination
Subject to applicable law, EagleLytics® does not ordinarily provide refunds when an account is suspended or terminated for material violations involving:
- fraud;
- attempted fraud;
- abusive activity;
- malicious activity;
- unauthorized access;
- deliberate circumvention of usage limits;
- misuse of supplier or store systems;
- chargeback abuse; or
- material violations of the EagleLytics® Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in this section eliminates rights that cannot legally be waived.
17. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers who believe they were charged incorrectly are encouraged to contact EagleLytics® so the transaction can be investigated. Initiating a chargeback does not necessarily cancel the underlying EagleLytics® subscription.
Where permitted, EagleLytics® may temporarily restrict an account associated with an unresolved payment dispute while the matter is investigated. Nothing in this section limits legitimate payment-dispute rights.
18. How to Contact EagleLytics About Billing
Customers may contact EagleLytics® through the Contact page, by email at support@eaglelytics.com, or, for signed-in customers, by opening a support ticket from the Support page. Please include:
- the email address associated with the account;
- the approximate billing date;
- the applicable subscription plan;
- the nature of the billing issue; and
- enough information for EagleLytics® to identify the transaction.
Do not send passwords, full card information, API keys, supplier credentials, or ecommerce-store credentials.
19. Approved Refunds or Billing Corrections
Although subscription payments are generally non-refundable, EagleLytics® may occasionally issue a refund or billing adjustment under one of the limited exceptions described in this policy.
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be submitted through the original payment method or payment channel whenever possible. The time required for funds to appear after a refund has been submitted depends on the payment processor, bank, card network, and financial institution. Those processing times are outside EagleLytics' direct control.
20. Taxes and Third-Party Fees
Taxes, sales taxes, VAT, currency-conversion charges, bank fees, or similar amounts may be subject to separate legal or payment-provider rules. Where a billing correction or refund is issued, related taxes will be handled according to applicable law and the capabilities of the payment processor.
EagleLytics® cannot guarantee reimbursement of fees imposed independently by banks, card issuers, payment processors, or other third parties.
21. Rights Required by Law
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to eliminate or restrict:
- statutory refund rights;
- cancellation rights;
- withdrawal rights;
- consumer-protection rights;
- warranty rights; or
- other remedies
that cannot legally be waived. Where applicable law grants a customer rights greater than those stated in this policy, the applicable legal requirements will control.
22. Changes to This Policy
EagleLytics® may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Material changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law. The Last Updated date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
23. Contact
Questions regarding subscriptions, cancellations, renewals, billing, payment errors, or this policy may be submitted through the Contact page or by email at support@eaglelytics.com.
