EagleLytics® monitors Magento supplier storefronts from a URL, reads a supplier’s catalog through the Magento REST API when they issue you Integration credentials, and syncs stock and prices to your Magento store using an integration token.

URL monitoring Direct API available

From a website URL

  • Discovers products through the storefront sitemap and category pages.
  • Reads SKU, price and availability from each product page’s structured data.
  • Collects images, descriptions and weights for later import.

Website monitoring respects robots.txt and crawl-delay, is rate-limited per domain, identifies as EagleLyticsBot/1.0, and is limited to suppliers in the USA and Canada.

Direct API connection

If a supplier creates a Magento Integration for you with catalog and inventory read access, add them as a Direct API Connection. The catalog is read through the signed /rest/V1 API instead of the storefront pages.

As your store

Keep your Magento store in sync.

Create an Integration in your Magento admin and enter its access token.

Inventory sync

  • Match supplier products to your products by SKU.
  • Update stock status and quantities when supplier availability changes.
  • Optionally push supplier price changes, with your pricing rules applied.
  • Run a sync now, or schedule it to repeat automatically.

Product import

  • Create simple products, or configurable products with child SKUs for multi-option items.
  • Configurable products use the size/colour attributes already defined in your attribute set.

Store credentials are encrypted at rest. Every sync produces a report listing what was updated, what was already in sync and what wasn’t found.

  1. Open Connect and choose Magento

    In the EagleLytics® app, go to Connect Store and pick Magento.

  2. Create an Integration

    In your Magento admin, create an Integration with catalog and inventory access, activate it and copy its access token.

  3. Enter your token

    Paste your store URL and the Integration access token into EagleLytics®.

  4. Test the connection

    Click Test Connection. You’re ready to sync.

Limitations

What the Magento integration does not do.

Knowing the edges up front saves a surprise later. These are the current limits, stated plainly.

  • Website monitoring reads product pages one by one, so large Magento catalogs take longer to scan than platforms with a public catalog feed; a Direct API Connection is faster when the supplier can issue credentials.
  • Product pages must expose structured data (JSON-LD or Magento page data) for SKU, price and availability to be read reliably.
  • Configurable products imported into your store need the option attributes (for example size and colour) to already exist in your attribute set.
  • Store sync matches products by SKU. Products without a SKU on either side are reported, not updated.

EagleLytics® currently supports monitoring compatible supplier storefronts in the U.S. and Canada.

Magento questions

How are Magento suppliers scanned?
Products are discovered through the storefront sitemap and category pages, then each product page’s structured data is read for SKU, price and availability. robots.txt and crawl-delay are respected and requests are rate-limited per domain.
What kind of token connects my Magento store?
An Integration access token created in your Magento admin with catalog and inventory access.
What do I need for a Direct API Connection to a Magento supplier?
The four OAuth values from an Integration the supplier creates in their Magento admin — consumer key, consumer secret, access token and access token secret — with read access to products and inventory. EagleLytics® never writes to a supplier’s store.
Are configurable products supported on import?
Yes. Multi-option supplier products are created as configurable products with child SKUs when the option attributes exist in your attribute set; otherwise they are created as standalone simple products.
Are suppliers outside the U.S. and Canada supported?
EagleLytics® currently supports monitoring compatible supplier storefronts in the U.S. and Canada. Websites operated elsewhere, and EU-operated businesses, are excluded.
