Storefronts without a public catalog feed take longer to scan — a Direct API Connection is much faster when available.

Website monitoring respects robots.txt and crawl-delay, is rate-limited per domain, identifies as EagleLyticsBot/1.0, and is limited to suppliers in the USA and Canada.

With a store hash and an access token from the supplier, EagleLytics® reads the catalog through the BigCommerce API. This turns a scan that could take hours into one that finishes in seconds.

Product import

Create products your store is missing, with variants, images and out-of-stock state.
Multi-option products are created with their real option axes.

Store credentials are encrypted at rest. Every sync produces a report listing what was updated, what was already in sync and what wasn’t found.

Open Connect and choose BigCommerce
In the EagleLytics® app, go to Connect Store and pick BigCommerce.
Install the app or create an API account
Install the app from your BigCommerce control panel, or create a store-level API account with product and inventory scopes.
Enter store hash and token
Paste your store hash and the access token into EagleLytics®.
Test the connection
Click Test Connection. You’re ready to sync.

Limitations

What the BigCommerce integration does not do.

Knowing the edges up front saves a surprise later. These are the current limits, stated plainly.

Storefronts without a public catalog feed are read page by page, so a large catalog can take a long time to scan. A Direct API Connection is strongly recommended for large suppliers.
Made-to-order and backorder items are reported the way the storefront sells them (in stock when they can be ordered).
Suppliers behind bot-protection services that block automated visitors cannot be scanned.
Store sync matches products by SKU. Products without a SKU on either side are reported, not updated.

BigCommerce questions

Why is my BigCommerce supplier scan slow?

BigCommerce storefronts do not expose a public catalog feed, so without API access each product page has to be read, with the per-domain rate limit and any crawl-delay applied between requests. A Direct API Connection with a store hash and access token reads the whole catalog in seconds.

What do I need for a Direct API Connection?

The supplier’s store hash and an API access token (X-Auth-Token) they create for you with product and inventory read scopes.

Can EagleLytics® create products in my BigCommerce store?

Yes. Missing products are created with variants, images and the correct stock state; multi-option products keep their real option axes.

How is billing handled if I install from the BigCommerce App Marketplace?

Subscriptions started from the BigCommerce app are billed through your BigCommerce account. Direct sign-ups on eaglelytics.com are billed by card.

Are suppliers outside the U.S. and Canada supported?

EagleLytics® currently supports monitoring compatible supplier storefronts in the U.S. and Canada. Websites operated elsewhere, and EU-operated businesses, are excluded.
