EagleLytics — Supplier Monitor

Working with the suppliers you already use.

Supported suppliers

Is your supplier supported?

EagleLytics® doesn’t keep a list of approved suppliers. Compatibility is decided per website: if your supplier’s site runs on a supported platform and meets a few requirements, it can be monitored. Check any supplier in seconds.

Compatibility requirements

What makes a supplier website monitorable.

EagleLytics® is designed to monitor your own suppliers responsibly. Every website is checked against these requirements when it is added and before each scan.

  1. 01

Public product pages on a supported platform

The website runs on Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento or Squarespace and lists its products publicly. EagleLytics® detects the platform automatically from the URL.

  2. 02

Based in the USA or Canada

Supplier websites are checked for their location. Websites hosted or operated outside the USA and Canada are not monitored.

  3. 03

    robots.txt allows crawling

EagleLytics® reads the website’s robots.txt before every scan, honours crawl-delay, and identifies itself as EagleLyticsBot/1.0. Websites that disallow crawling are not scanned.

  4. 04

    Not an EU-operated business

Websites showing signs of an EU-operated business (VAT numbers, legal notices, EU addresses) are detected and excluded.

  5. 05

Not a major retailer or marketplace

A global blocklist excludes large retailers and marketplaces. EagleLytics® is built for monitoring your own suppliers, not general retail sites.

  6. Or

The supplier gives you API credentials

A Direct API Connection skips website crawling entirely, so robots.txt does not apply. Available for Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce suppliers.

If a supplier isn’t compatible

Ask for API access.

Many suppliers will issue API credentials to their dealers. With those, EagleLytics® reads the catalog directly — faster, more accurate, and independent of the website.

1

Ask your supplier

Request read access to their store API. For Shopify that’s an Admin API access token; for BigCommerce a store hash and access token; for WooCommerce a REST API consumer key and secret.

2

Add a Direct API Connection

In EagleLytics®, go to Suppliers → Add Supplier → Direct API Connection, pick the platform and paste the credentials.

3

Test the connection

Click Test Connection. EagleLytics® confirms it can reach the catalog before anything is saved.

4

Scan and sync

API scans return the full catalog with every variant in seconds. Credentials are encrypted at rest and never displayed again.

Two ways in

Website URL or direct API.

Website URL connection

Paste the supplier’s storefront URL. EagleLytics® detects the platform, checks robots.txt and monitors the products the website lists publicly. No account or permission from the supplier is needed.

  • Works with any supported storefront you can browse
  • Respects robots.txt and crawl-delay, identifies as EagleLyticsBot/1.0
  • Rate-limited per domain so the supplier’s site isn’t burdened
  • USA and Canada suppliers only

Direct API connection

When a supplier gives you API credentials for their store, EagleLytics® reads the catalog directly through the platform’s API — no crawling at all. Available for Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce suppliers.

  • Full catalog with every variant in seconds
  • Not subject to robots.txt or crawl limits
  • Variant-accurate stock straight from the source
  • Credentials encrypted at rest and never shown again

Supplier FAQ

Common questions.

Short answers about which suppliers work with EagleLytics®.

Do you have a list of supported suppliers?
No. EagleLytics® works with any supplier whose website runs on a supported platform and meets the compatibility requirements above, so there is no fixed directory to browse. Use the supplier check to test a specific website.
Does my supplier need to sign up or approve anything?
Not for website monitoring — EagleLytics® reads the product information the website already lists publicly, respecting robots.txt. A Direct API Connection does require the supplier to issue you credentials.
Why are suppliers outside the USA and Canada excluded?
EagleLytics® limits website monitoring to suppliers in the USA and Canada, and detects and excludes EU-operated businesses, to keep monitoring within the rules that apply in those regions.
My supplier’s website blocks crawling. What now?
Websites whose robots.txt disallows crawling are not scanned. Ask the supplier for API credentials and add them as a Direct API Connection instead — API access is not subject to robots.txt.
Can I monitor a big retailer or marketplace as a supplier?
No. A global blocklist excludes major retailers and marketplaces. EagleLytics® is built for monitoring the wholesale and dropship suppliers you buy from.
My supplier uses Wix or another platform. Can it be added?
Wix, PrestaShop, OpenCart websites are detected during setup (beta) but are not monitored yet. Suppliers on other platforms can still be connected if they provide API credentials on a supported platform.
