When you register for EagleLytics, we collect:

- OAuth Data: Name and email from Google OAuth (if using Google sign-in)

Supplier Credentials
To provide scanning services, we collect and store:
- Supplier platform credentials (API keys, authentication tokens, login credentials)
- Supplier store URLs and platform identifiers
- Supplier names and configuration details
All credentials are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption.
Usage Data
- Scan history and results
- Scheduled sync configurations
- Platform connection information
- Application logs and error reports
- IP addresses and browser information (automatically collected)

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

- Deleted Accounts: Data retained for 30 days for recovery, then permanently deleted
- Logs: System logs retained for 90 days for troubleshooting and security

Third-Party Services
EagleLytics integrates with third-party services:

Children's Privacy
EagleLytics is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using EagleLytics, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
General Policies
Acceptable Use Policy
Users of EagleLytics must comply with all applicable laws and our Terms & Conditions. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:
- Unauthorized scanning of websites without proper credentials or permission
- Attempting to circumvent security measures or rate limits
- Using the service for illegal activities or to violate third-party rights
- Sharing account credentials with unauthorized parties
- Attempting to disrupt or harm the service infrastructure
Web Crawling and Compliance Policy
EagleLytics is committed to responsible, ethical, and legally compliant web crawling. Our automated scanning technology adheres to the following standards:
robots.txt Compliance
We fully respect the Robots Exclusion Protocol (robots.txt). Before initiating any scan, EagleLytics retrieves and parses the target website's robots.txt file. We honor all Disallow directives and Crawl-delay specifications. If a website's robots.txt blocks our crawler, the scan will fail with an appropriate message for HTML-crawled platforms. API-based platforms (such as Shopify and WooCommerce) that use official APIs rather than HTML crawling will proceed with a warning, as APIs operate outside the scope of robots.txt.
Rate Limiting and Crawl Rates
We enforce strict per-domain rate limits to ensure our crawling does not negatively impact supplier website performance:
- Minimum 1-second interval between consecutive requests to any single domain
- Platform-specific limits tailored to each e-commerce platform's known tolerances
- robots.txt Crawl-delay enforcement — when a website specifies a Crawl-delay, it automatically overrides our defaults if it is stricter
- Adaptive throttling — request frequency is reduced further if rate-limit responses (HTTP 429) are detected
User Agent Identification
Our crawler identifies itself as EagleLyticsBot/1.0, enabling website operators to identify, monitor, and control our activity through their robots.txt or server-side configuration.
Geographic Compliance
EagleLytics currently restricts scanning to USA-based supplier websites only. We employ automated geographic detection (TLD analysis and GeoIP lookups) to identify and block non-USA suppliers from scanning, ensuring compliance with applicable jurisdictional regulations.
Data Collected During Scans
During scans, EagleLytics collects publicly available product information including product names, SKUs, prices, stock availability status, and product images. This data is stored in your account and is used solely for inventory monitoring and synchronization purposes as directed by you.
Refund Policy
Refund terms will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase or subscription. Generally:
- Refunds may be available within 14 days of initial purchase
- Service credits may be provided for service interruptions or issues
- Refund requests must be submitted through our Contact page
- Each refund request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Service Level Agreement (SLA)
While we strive for high availability, we do not currently offer formal SLA guarantees. We target:
- 99% uptime for the web application
- Response to critical issues within 24 hours
- Regular maintenance windows announced in advance when possible
Content and Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of EagleLytics (including design, text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by LaFountain Design and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of data you input into the system. Scan results are provided for your use, but product information obtained through scanning may be subject to suppliers' terms and copyrights.

We may send you service-related communications via email. You can opt out of non-essential communications while remaining subscribed to critical service updates.
Feedback and Suggestions

Beta Features
From time to time, we may release beta or experimental features. These features are provided "as is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Beta features may have limited support and different terms of use.
