How to connect your Squarespace store
This guide walks you through generating a Developer API Key in your Squarespace account, then connecting your store to EagleLytics®.
What You'll Need
- A Squarespace store on Business plan or higher
- Website Owner or Administrator permissions
- About 5 minutes
The Developer API is only available on Squarespace Business, Commerce Basic, and Commerce Advanced plans.
Part 1: Create Your API Key
Step 1: Navigate to Developer API Keys
Settings (gear icon) → Advanced → Developer API Keys
Step 2: Click "Generate Key"
Name your key:
EagleLytics® Inventory Sync
Step 3: Set Permissions

Step 4: Copy Your API Key
⚠ Squarespace only shows the full key once. Copy it immediately.
Part 2: Connect to EagleLytics®

| API Key | Your API Key |
Click "Test Connection", then "Save".
Troubleshooting
Don't see "Developer API Keys"
Only available on Business+ plans. Check Settings → Billing & Account.
401 Unauthorized
Check you copied the full key without extra spaces, and that it hasn't been revoked.
Products not syncing
Make sure your key has Inventory (Read & Write) and Products (Read Only) permissions.
